Hunting over active bait in September or foot hold snaring in  late September and October. Black bear being a hunter like you, has the ability to smell a potato at 100 yards a foot under ground.  They can also hear the click of a safety from over 50 yards.

Here are more very fine Black Bear.  Remember we are small enough to make your black bear hunting in Maine the best it can be. Just look at there smiles and you know we do as we say. You can spend much more, but you can’t find a better hunt.  I make my living as a guide only, this isn’t a side line!
