46|GARY THORNn|10:13:58 10/19/2004|GTHORN7722@AOL.COM|HIGHLAND, NY|USA||Just returned from my 2004 Mooose Hunt with Blue's Wilderness Hunts. I didn't realize that when I heard that this would be the hunt of a lifetime that it pertained to me being with Blue Lord and his wonderful family. Blue is the ultimate guide and sportsman. I learned more about all types of hunting techniques and animal habits in just a couple of days than I have in years. This masterguide has a p####ion for his profession and works harder for your success than I have ever seen and I have been on many hunts all over the US and Canada.
We tagged a fantastic moose on only the second day and p####ed up many until the right one came along. I was planning on a different hunt next year but Blue has me convinced to try a muzzleloader deer hunt in 2005.
If you plan on hunting in Maine, look no further, Blues Wilderess Hunts should be your only choice.

I'm already booked for 2005 with four hunting buddies. they could not believe how great of a personalized hunt I had, so they are going to see for themselves. Blue works harder then any guide, for you to see a bear. I got my bear on Tuesday so I got to see first hand what He does, let me tell you, Blue knows more about bears and hunting than anyone I've ever met or watched on television. He really cares about the people who hunt with him. The lodge is awsome, the food that Theresa prepares is great. E-mail me if you have any doubts,I'll send you some pic's. 42|Anthony Rosati|18:53:18 10/04/2004|anthonyr205@aol.com|Bronx, NY|||Myself and my brother-in-law booked our first black bear hunt with Blue's Wilderness Hunts the third week of September 2004. We picked the RIGHT PLACE!. Out of our group of five we sighted a total of 8 bears--two of which we bagged, two wounded, one missed, and three others sighted but not shot at. We had a great time. Blue and his wife Theresa are great hosts-you really can't ask for better. As for the hunting part of it-you'll learn real quick just how knowledgable and dedicated a guide can be once you meet Blue. His no-nonsence approach coupled with his hard work just about ####ures you to at least sight a bear-provided you do exactly what the man tells you. I've already booked another trip for the same time next year! Thanks Blue! See you next September! 41|Al Gambardella|21:59:26 10/03/2004|gambardelalphonse@sbcglobal.net|wallingford,ct|usa||Me and 2 of my friends hunted the second week of the bear season 2004.We had a great time and I seen one bear and my 2 friends shot at bear but missed .Listen to blue he knows his bears and will due everything in his power to get you one.The food was awesome and the house was always clean and neat and thanks to teresa. The trip was worth alot more than what we paid .THEY treated us like family. 40|Scott Fowler|18:15:35 9/29/2004|scottanddawn@earthlink.net|Greenwood, IN|US||Bears over bait, out of 10 hunters, 11 bears where seen and 6 where taken. The largest being 435 lbs., taken by my brother. Unfortunitly I was not one to see or take a bear, but thats hunting. Blue and Teresa are "GREAT" hosts. The atmosphere was great, very relaxing and the food was great. I'm booked again for next year. Thanks Blue and Teresa for a great hunting experience. See you next year. 39|Sab Caponi|14:58:45 9/20/2004|cwa1104sab@hotmail.com|Bellmore NY|USA||I just read Shawn from Pa input. I can attest to what he said I also hunted with Blue the same week as Shawn. I stayed at the outpost and this was my 7th guided hunt in places such as Wyoming, Tenn, Canada, Pa etc. This was bar none the finest hunt I've ever had. After meeting other hunters in Patten and comparing notes on other outfitters in Patten it was plain to see we got the best guide in Maine. It is bar none the most personalized hunt I have ever had and also the hardest working guide who works to get hunters to get bear. By the way I didnt get my bear, through no fault of Blues, and still was blown away by the service and work dedication. Next time I go to Maine it's with Blue...PERIOD

This hunt was unbelievable. The activity around the stand is unimaginable, what blue says is the way it is! the food and personal attention is incredible. I will never go to Maine to hunt without Blues Wilderness Hunts. To recieve this kind of a personal hunt you should expect to pay alot more.Plain and simple you will not find a better hunt "anywhere". So call Blue and book your hunt of a lifetime! 37|Shawn Fowler|16:15:24 9/19/2004|shawnofowler@comcast.net|Washington, Pennsylvania|USA||I just finished my third week of bear season hunt.I took a 435lb male black bear on the second day. Blue was an excellent guide and Teresa was an wonderful person and a superb cook!! Even though I didn't get a bear this trip...I saw bear and my son-in-law who went with me, got a 280 lb. bear! What a rush!!! I am already making plans to go back on another hunt in 2006! My experience with Blue and Teresa is... I would never consider another guide or outfitter for a future hunt...any other hunt would just be a let down! Thanks a million Blue and Teresa it was outstanding!!! Glenn 35|Lloyd Clevenger|11:16:36 9/01/2004|LMDADODGER@aol.com|Cameron, NC|US||Blue,
Thank you, thank you. You are the best in the business. Call it luck if you want. But putting me on that active stand and I only waited 30 mintues. My first hunt in Maine, first bear hunt, I did it all on the first day. I've been in the military over the past 18 years, not having a lot of time to scout but enjoy to hunt. So succes counts more then money, we did it. I would enjoy to come back and have you as my guide and would highly recommend you to everyone. If any one has doubts, I know he'll go the extra mile to ensure you have an enjoyable hunt. Please contact me if you wish to hear details of my 2003 bear hunt. 34|Todd Capitano|20:12:32 2/18/2004|rnlcap@aol.com|Buffalo N.Y.|Erie|-|Blue, I just wanted to say "Thank-You" for my August 25th 2003 bear hunt which was a success in many ways. I never dreamed that my hunt could go as good as well as it did. I am so greatful that I picked "Blue's Wilderness Hunts" for my Fall black bear hunt. Blue, you are everything a professional guide is supposed to be. You are truely an outdoorsman, direct but honest and I feel your knowledge of the black bear and thier habits are second to none, in short, the best I've ever seen. You and your wife Teresa are two of the finest people I have ever met in and out of the hunting industry. I was able to see first hand, the effort that you and your wife put in to your business. You guys made me and everyone in camp that week feel like we were at home. Your accommodations and meals were outstanding, in short, one hell of a job you guys!! Blue, you made one of my dreams come true, and I will always be greatful. On August 27th 2003 at 4:45 pm. with Blue and his wife's efforts I was able to take my first black bear that weighed 240 pounds. I had her mounted in a half mount, and I'll tell you what, she is the prettiest bear I have ever seen! If anyone is looking for a bear hunt in Maine, STOP AND LOOK NO MORE! This is the place! Blue's Wilderness Hunts is a very personalized and complete service! I feel they go way out of their way for you to make your trophy hunt the best that can be! This man will put you on active baits and, if you listen and do what he asks of you, as long as the bear and weather cooporate you should have a shot at a black bear! But remember, take your time when you shoot, double lung him, or hit him in the head for he is one TOUGH animal! Above all, my greatest trophy of all is the friendship I gained with Dwaine (Blue) Lord, and his wife Teresa. Thank-You for the wonderful memories!! I WILL be back!
Todd Capitano 33|Allan M. Baver|21:58:05 2/01/2004|alrevab@aol.com|Windsor, CT|USA||Blue,

Sorry for the late entry, but better late than never.
This past year 2003, no luck on my end and a shot and miss on my brother's....
Well, it was very windy....
Again, GREAT FOOD and company. You and your better half are the BEST!

I know I can not say enough good and I certainly can not say any bad.

I have had two calls for referrals and both callers and I chatted for close to 1.5 hours. Lots of questions to answer and I had nothing but GREAT things to say.

I explained that although we were not sucessful, we shared another year like family. That's what makes Blue's hunts so great....You are made to feel like family.

I can't wait to return this year, 2004...I want that big 10 - 12 pointer nosing around the area we have been hunting!!!

Thanks,
Al 31|Terry Humphrey|12:48:18 6/30/2003|tmhump@cox.net|Arizona|USA||I have known this guy all my life 30|January Maxcy|16:55:24 6/14/2003||Friendship, Maine|USA||I always new that my Dad (Blue Lord) had a reputation for being one of the best Maine Guides around. I just always took that fact for granted. I never fully understood his love and dedication for the success of his hunts, until I was one of his hunters.
2 years ago, I got a moose permit. I was happy, but it seemed everyone was a little more excited about it than I was. I was reluctant, but Dad was relentless. He just wouldn't let me give up until we found the perfect moose, and brought it home. Even when I thought that I couldn't take anymore, he just let me know that he was there with me and that it would be worth the work in the end.
Dad new right where to go to find that 1210 lb. bull. He fully supported me and encouraged me every step of the way. When the moose was down, I don't know who was more proud. I think that we were mutually proud of one another. We shared the tears of joy, and it is a moment in my life that I will never forget.
I know that I may sound biased, and maybe I am, but Dad will give you all the help you need in your hunt. You won't find anyone more dedicated to trying to help you fill your tag. In addition, their accomodations are great, and Mom is a fantastic cook.
If you love to hunt, and are striving for personal attention and detail, book with them. I think you will be back every year.
Thanks, Dad, for the fun, laughter, and tears - I LOVE YOU!!!!! 27|Tom Poovey|22:02:46 1/29/2003|tpoovey@att.net|Dandridge, Tennessee|USA||I first met and hunted with Dwaine "Blue" Lord back in 1991 and had a very successful Maine Whitetail hunt that yeilded two trophy bucks and a terrific hunting experience. Dwaine is definitely the most knowledgeble and dedicated guide in State. As an experienced and successful hunter that has hunted in various states throughout the country, I would definitely recommend booking a hunt with "Ole Blue" anytime. As a matter-of-fact, I keep applying for that non-resident moose permit every year and if I am ever successful in drawing one, Blue will be the first person that I call to book a quality hunt with. 24|Kyle Therrien|12:08:43 11/25/2002|kdpt916@mail.com|St. Albans VT|USA||Dwaine(Blue) Lord is the best guide that you could ever dream of having. No matter what he either tries to bring you to the deer or the deer to you.If anybody ever gets a chance to take a hunt in the peacful wilderness of Maine give Dwaine and his wife a call! 23|Al Baver|08:12:16 11/19/2002|alrevab@aol.com|Windsor, CT|USA||What more can I say. Another GREAT year in the Maine woods with a life long resident guide.
GREAT FOOD & COMPANY.
Looking back at my previous entry in September of 2002, I would add; let Blue be your guide. I strongly suggest you use Blue's truck while being guided to get you into places you would not want your own vehicle.
That old Chevrolet..."LIKE A ROCK" & Blue will get you in the area's for the shot at the deer and/or bear. Blue's truck will take a beating and if someone should ever mistake his truck for a deer or bear, better his than yours.

Remember, it is up to the nut behind the butt to get the well placed shot.
Total sightings this year with our group, 7 deer....1 - 8 point buck my brother had taken and a spike with another member of our group.
3 shots and 3 misses on a big 8-10 pointer by another member (Buck Fever, MAYBE...Bad Gl####es??? Scope not properly sighted...POSSIBLY)

SEE YOU AGAIN NEXT NOVEMBER, SAME TIME!!!
